30 Years of Triumph - Billy and Wendy Young - Nederland Campus

My name is Wendy Young.  My husband, Billy, and I have been attending Triumph for six and a half years.  Our miracles have been many, but the biggie happened on June 5, 2013.

When Hurricane Ike destroyed Bridge City and parts of Orange our business took a huge hit.  We have owned an Automotive Repair Shop in Orange for 22 years.  Because everything was flooded, people bought new cars.  So for three months business was at a stand still.  We lived off of a small savings buying only what we absolutely needed and paying what we had to in order to survive.  In that three months we fell behind on our house payments.  So I contacted our mortgage company and requested to move our past due payments to the end of our note.  They agreed.  So when 2010 began we made three house payments when our mortgage company informed us that they wanted to roll us into the Government Funded Program Making Homes Affordable.  We requested to stay with our current agreement, but they declined.  So all of 2010 we fought foreclosure on our home.

In 2011 Ivan Tait came to Nederland Campus.  While I was setting up his product table, Billy was in the Sanctuary.  Ivan looked in the audience and said “there is someone here who is fighting to keep from losing their home.  If that’s you GOD has given me a word for you.”  Billy was the only one who went forward.  He said GOD told him our home was safe and to trust Him.  Know He was in control and our wrong would be made right.

June 5th of this year GOD showed up and showed off giving us just what He had promised plus some.  We met with our lawyer, an arbitrator, and the mortgage company.  GOD blessed us.  Because they stopped receiving payments from us our amount owed including property taxes and insurance for three years was $38,000.  We knew we would have to pay these back payments, taxes, and insurance.   We just wanted them to honor our original agreement period.  When everything was said and done the mortgage company offered first to show our payments current, honor the original agreement, and pay our lawyer fees of $10,000! They said we owed them NOTHING!

During all of this, even when our business was struggling, we tithed, believed God, and stayed the course.  That day was so humbling for me because I had such a peace and knew that my GOD was in control.  When GOD gave us what we had been believing for plus extra it, as Pastor Deamon would say, BLESSED MY SOCKS OFF!!!
