30 Years of Triumph-Kim Madrid

I’ve attended Triumph for about 6 months now.  I have grown so much in these past few months.  I came from a Catholic background.  Throughout my life, I always knew there was something far more than just church to GOD.  I always tried to find it in the Catholic religion, but it was hard.  I argued with my mother constantly because I didn't agree with her beliefs.  I wanted more than what the Catholic Church had to offer.  When I finally separated myself from the church I searched for one that had a relationship with God as a whole yet I could establish my own.  It took a long time.

Then I finally met Mrs. Cathy Wilkerson, and she introduced me to Triumph.  I fell in love from my very first visit - the way everybody interacted as a whole community and the genuine hearts of each person to show the love of God.  The more I visited the more I knew I belonged.  I found my place serving in the youth ministry.  They were all so welcoming and inviting.  I was invited to a conference with the leaders a couple weeks later.  Ever since then I became a new person.  It helped me find myself, and let God take the wheel in my life.  I found amazing friends in the leaders and pastors who truly have their hearts set on this generation and love what they do.  They have become my role models and great examples of how to live a Christian lifestyle.

Since then, I have become a youth leader, and I love what I do.  I love serving here.  I love working with the children's ministry as well.  I fall in love with those little hearts every time I teach.  I love this church because it helps me grow in my walk with Christ.  The relationships I have made I will always be grateful for.  I can't wait to see where Triumph, with the help of God, leads me next.
