I was transferred to Beaumont from Oklahoma City in
1996. Being raised Southern Baptist, I
joined a local church in Beaumont.
Relocating was the result of a divorce after 14 years of marriage. I found myself lost of my ambition for career
growth and just wanted to be near family.
Since my family lives in Kinder, Louisiana, Beaumont was the closest
opportunity.
One Sunday while in a church service I felt this
overwhelming need to find a new place. So
I got up during the service and ended up at Triumph Church. A lady by the name of Eva Clark prayed for me
that day and told me that this was my place of restoration. I was a single mother with two young children
and a demanding career with lots of responsibilities. I became a member of Triumph right away -
joined the choir, involved in the singles ministry, traveled with Destined for
Deliverance Youth Summer Ministry, and served in the women’s ministry. My children and I quickly became busy in the
church.
I remained single nine years and became self
employed in 2001 by faith. I launched
out to open tax and accounting offices in Louisiana and Texas. In 2004 the Lord blessed me with a wonderful
husband, Xavier Sanders, who was also a member of Triumph. Our children, now ages 27 (Coty), 25 (Sean),
and 23 (Jonathan) are serving God.
At Triumph we found great friends and relationships,
a pastoral team of love, and, yes, Mother Eva was correct. I found restoration at Triumph. I found so much growth, and now 17 years
later I am so thankful to have been lead to Triumph. Thank you Triumph Church. Congratulations for 30 years of standing for
God and people who need God. I pray 30
plus years of advancement in growth and blessings in God’s Kingdom. It has been a journey, and I thank God for
everything. We love you Triumph!
