Where to begin? In March
of 1984 we met the Clarks. Within a week
we visited Triumph Church. After that
visit, we stepped out, left the Catholic Church, and began a new chapter in our
life. At this time we had one son and
one on the way, and then in three more years a third son.
I have heard it said that you live your life in such a way that
your children can pick up where you leave, and do bigger things than you
do. Well that is certainly true in our
case. Our 30-year-old son and his wife
have been employees/ministers for Pastor Joel Osteen for almost ten years. My son started out at age thirteen working in
Triumph Nederland Campus as a soundman, and his wife was a worship leader and
part of the arts team at the same campus.
Now, these two travel the country spreading the gospel to every nation. They also have three sons.
Our 28-year-old son is also called to the ministry, and we are
excited and awaiting the day that he finds his place in God's Kingdom. When he was a teenager, he also participated
in ministries at the Nederland Campus. Our
24-year-old son left home after high school graduation and began working as an
assistant lighting designer for Lakewood Church. He also travels the country participating in
spreading the gospel to every nation. He
also is an employee of WAVE as their chief lighting designer. He, like his brothers, started in his early
years holding positions at Triumph Nederland.
This is just a short summary of what being faithful to God for
29 years can do for you and the family you raise. We owe God and Triumph Church a debt of
gratitude for believing in all of us. What you have may seem small, but don’t dismiss it. If
you’ll use what God has given you, He will multiply it. He will not only bring your dreams to pass,
but He will do more than you can ask or think.
